Job summary

Methodist FSER Helotes seeks a Full Time ED Paramedic to join a 24/7 freestanding emergency center serving Far Northwest San Antonio and surrounding areas. The role emphasizes rapid patient assessment, continuous monitoring, and coordination with hospital transport when needed.

Qualifications include Texas paramedic licensure, EMT-P, BLS, and 2 years of EMS or hospital experience, with required ACLS/BLS/PALS within specified windows.

Qualifications

• Education: Current certification/licensure in the State of Texas as a Paramedic. EMT-P required. Current BLS Healthcare Provider.
• Minimum 2 years of field Paramedic experience with an EMS agency and/or hospital clinical experience.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support within 90 days; Basic Cardiac Life Support within 30 days; PALS within 30 days.

Job Summary And Qualifications

What qualifications you will need:

• Education: Current certification/Licensure in the State of Texas as a Paramedic. EMT-P required. Current BLS Healthcare Provider.
• Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience as a field Paramedic with an EMS agency and/or clinical experience working in a hospital.
• Employee completes initial and ongoing training and competencies as defined by service line, facility and department/unit which are specific to the needs of the patient population served (if applicable).
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date
• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• PALS Pediatric Adv Life Supt must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date

This 7,029 square foot facility includes 7 all-private treatment rooms and a full range of services such as radiology, a full-service laboratory and telemetry.
