Job summary

Piedmont Eastside Medical Center's Emergency Department in Snellville, GA is seeking a Paramedic for full-time day shifts. The 38-bed ED handles about 160 daily patients and operates as a stroke and STEMI receiving facility with on-site helicopter pads.

You will work with ED Providers, nurses, and techs to deliver high-quality care. Requirements include BLS, ACLS and PALS on hire; NIH risk preferred with timeframe compliance.

Qualifications

• Skill and ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in-writing.
• Skill and ability to handle multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Ability to work as a member of a team.
• Skill and ability in Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care under supervision with knowledge of medications and protocols.
• Assess neurological, respiratory, cardiac, GI, and trauma status.
• Collaborate with ED team to ensure safe patient care.
• Perform EKGs, Foley catheters, Start IVs/IOs and draw blood.
• Transport patients to other departments and monitor for arrhythmias.
