Job summary

AMR is hiring Paramedics in Monterey County, CA, for full-time or part-time roles with a $10K sign-on bonus and a 2-year commitment. Hourly pay ranges from $37.11 to $59.42, with 12-hour shifts averaging 42 per week.

You'll provide advanced medical care using defibrillators, EKG monitors, IV fluids, and other equipment, lead scenes when needed, and collaborate with public safety partners to serve our communities.

Qualifications

• CA State Paramedic License is required.
• CA Driver's License required.
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, PEPP, BTLS or PHTLS certifications required.
• ICS 100,200,700 and 800 training required.
• Medical Examiner's Certificate required.
• Driving record must be compliant with company policy.
• Pass a Physical Agility Test is required.
• CA Ambulance Driver's License required.

Responsibilities

• Assess each call situation and determine best action with Paramedic protocols.
• Utilize Paramedic skills on medical equipment to provide advanced care.
• Communicate with patients and families to explain care being provided.
• Act as Paramedic team leader and manage scenes as needed.
• Drive the ambulance on 911 responses.
• Collaborate with allied health and public safety personnel.
• Participate in community programs to support AMR image and relations.

$37.11 - $59.42 per hour

We’re hiring Paramedics that are passionate about delivering compassionate, high-quality service and advanced patient care to our customers.

Responsibilities:

• Assess each call situation to determine the best course of action while working with progressive Paramedic protocols.
• Utilize your Paramedic skills on medical equipment and procedures including defibrillator, EKG monitor, oxygen and suction devices, and intravenous fluids to provide advanced medical care.
• Communicate with patients and loved ones to provide information and assurance that care is being given.
• Act as Paramedic team leader and take responsibility for the scene and unit management as needed.
• Drive the ambulance on 911 responses.
• Work collaboratively and in a professional manner with all allied health and public safety personnel as well as your fellow Paramedics.
• Participate in community programs to maintain AMR image and establish strong community relations.

Minimum Required Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
• CA State Paramedic License
• CA State Driver’s License
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, PEPP, BTLS or PHTLS
• Driving record compliant with company policy
• Pass Physical Agility Test
• ICS 100,200,700 and 800
• CA Ambulance Driver's License

Preferred Qualifications:

• Some work experience, preferably healthcare
