AMR is hiring Paramedics for full-time roles in the Burlingame, CA area. You will deliver essential and advanced patient care on medical calls, operate critical equipment, and lead on-scene operations with EMTs and other responders.

The role emphasizes compassionate service and community engagement while driving ambulance responses. Applicants must have a state paramedic license, driver’s license, and relevant certifications (BLS/ACLS/PALS/ITLS or PEPP).

Qualifications

• Paramedics must hold a valid paramedic license and driver’s license.
• Certification in BLS, ACLS, PALS, ITLS or PEPP is required.
• A driving record compliant with company policy and ability to pass agility tests.

Responsibilities

• Assess each call to determine action per paramedic protocols.
• Provide advanced medical care using defibrillator, EKG, oxygen, suction, IVs.
• Communicate with patients and families to convey care.
• Lead the paramedic team and manage scene and unit as needed.
• Drive the ambulance on 911 responses.
• Collaborate with healthcare and safety personnel and peers.
• Participate in community programs to uphold AMR image.

PARAMEDIC

We’re hiring Paramedics that are passionate about delivering compassionate, high-quality service and basic, as well as advanced, patient care to our customers.

Responsibilities:

• Assess each call situation to determine the best course of action while working with progressive Paramedic protocols.
• Utilize your Paramedic skills on medical equipment and procedures including defibrillator, EKG monitor, oxygen and suction devices, and intravenous fluids to provide advanced medical care.
• Communicate with patients and loved ones to provide information and assurance that care is being given.

• Act as Paramedic team leader and take responsibility for the scene and unit management as needed.
• Drive the ambulance on 911 responses.
• Work collaboratively and in a professional manner with all allied health and public safety personnel as well as your fellow Paramedics.
• Participate in community programs to maintain AMR image and establish strong community relations.

MinimumRequired Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
• State Paramedic License
• Ambulance Driver's License
• Medical Examiners Card

• State Driver’s License
• BLS, ACLS, PALS OR PEPP, ITLS or PHTLS (PHTLS required by 1.1.25)
• Driving record in compliance with company policy
