AMR in Garden Grove, CA seeks Paramedics committed to compassionate, high‑quality patient care using basic and advanced medical skills. The role is full‑time and requires CA Paramedic licensure, CPR/ACLS/PALS/PEPP, and a clean driving record. Internal applicants must apply through the designated portal.

You will assess calls, operate defibrillators and monitors, communicate with patients, lead the team when needed, and drive for 911 responses while coordinating with public safety colleagues.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• California Driver's License and Ambulance Driver’s License are required.
• Medical Examiner’s Card and State Paramedic License are required.
• CPR, ACLS and PALS/PEPP certifications are required.
• Clean driving record per AMR safety policy; ICS/NIMS training is expected.
• ICS courses (IS-100B, IS-200B, IS-700A, IS-800B) are required.

Responsibilities

• Assess each call to determine best course of action with paramedic protocols.
• Use defibrillator, EKG monitor, oxygen, suction, and IV fluids to provide care.
• Communicate with patients and loved ones to provide information and reassurance.
• Act as Paramedic team leader and manage the scene and unit as needed.
• Drive the ambulance on 911 responses.
• Collaborate professionally with allied health, public safety personnel and fellow Paramedics.

POSITION SUMMARY

We’re hiring Paramedics that are passionate about delivering compassionate, high-quality service and basic, as well as advanced, patient care to our customers.

Responsibilities

• Assess each call situation to determine the best course of action while working with progressive Paramedic protocols.
• Utilize your Paramedic skills on medical equipment and procedures including defibrillator, EKG monitor, oxygen and suction devices, and intravenous fluids to provide advanced medical care.
• Communicate with patients and loved ones to provide information and assurance that care is being given.
• Act as Paramedic team leader and take responsibility for the scene and unit management as needed.
• Drive the ambulance on 911 responses.
• Work collaboratively and in a professional manner with all allied health and public safety personnel as well as your fellow Paramedics.

Salary Range

$22.39 - $24.98 DOE (This rate applies to a 12 and 24 hour shift.)
