Job summary

AMR is hiring paramedics who deliver compassionate, high-quality care with basic and advanced patient care on our emergency response teams. Internal applicants must apply through OKTA on the internal portal.

We seek leaders who can manage scenes, drive 911 responses, and work with other health and public safety professionals to provide timely, professional care. The role requires completion of specified certifications and state licensure in California.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• CA Driver's License.
• Ambulance Driver’s License (DMV).
• Medical Examiner’s Card.
• State of California Paramedic License.
• CPR Card (AHA Health Care Provider).
• ACLS Card (AHA).
• PALS Card (AHA) or PEPP.

Responsibilities

• Assess each call situation to determine the best course of action while following Paramedic protocols.
• Use Paramedic skills on medical equipment (defibrillator, EKG monitor, oxygen, suction) to provide advanced care.
• Communicate with patients and loved ones to explain care being provided.
• Act as Paramedic team leader and manage scene and unit as needed.
• Drive the ambulance on 911 responses.
• Collaborate with allied health, public safety personnel and fellow Paramedics.

POSITION SUMMARY

We’re hiring Paramedics that are passionate about delivering compassionate, high-quality service and basic, as well as advanced, patient care to our customers.

Responsibilities

• Assess each call situation to determine the best course of action while working with progressive Paramedic protocols.
• Utilize your Paramedic skills on medical equipment and procedures including defibrillator, EKG monitor, oxygen and suction devices, and intravenous fluids to provide advanced medical care.
• Communicate with patients and loved ones to provide information and assurance that care is being given.
• Act as Paramedic team leader and take responsibility for the scene and unit management as needed.
• Drive the ambulance on 911 responses.
• Work collaboratively and in a professional manner with all allied health and public safety personnel as well as your fellow Paramedics.

Minimum Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED

• Ambulance Driver’s License (from DMV)
• Medical Examiner’s Card
• State of California Paramedic License
• CPR Card (AHA ONLY, Health Care Provider. Hand written cards are not acceptable)
• ACLS Card (AHA ONLY, hand written cards are not acceptable)
• PALS Card (AHA ONLY, hand written cards are not acceptable) or PEPP
• Driving record in compliance with McCormick/AMR Safety and Driving policy (proof required if conditional employment is made)

Salary Range

$22.39 - $24.98 DOE (This rate applies to a 12 and 24 hour shift.)
