Job summary

AMR is seeking Paramedics in California to deliver compassionate, high-quality emergency care and to lead on-scene patient management. The role requires CA Paramedic licensure, CPR, ACLS, and PALS/PEPP certifications, with a valid CA driver’s and ambulance driver’s license.

Expect 12 and 24 hour shifts and teamwork with public safety partners. Applicants should upload all active documents as part of the application.

Qualifications

• CA Paramedic License is required.
• CPR (AHA Health Care Provider) certification required.
• ACLS and PALS/PEPP certifications required.
• Valid California driving license and Ambulance Driver’s license.
• State/ICS/NIMS training as listed.

Responsibilities

• Assess each call situation to determine the best course of action while working with progressive Paramedic protocols.
• Utilize Paramedic skills on medical equipment including defibrillator, EKG monitor, oxygen and suction devices, and intravenous fluids to provide advanced medical care.
• Communicate with patients and loved ones to provide information and assurance that care is being given.
• Act as Paramedic team leader and take responsibility for the scene and unit management as needed.
• Drive the ambulance on 911 responses.
• Work collaboratively and in a professional manner with all allied health and public safety personnel as well as your fellow Paramedics.

• PALS Card (AHA ONLY, hand written cards are not acceptable) or PEPP
• Driving record in compliance with McCormick/AMR Safety and Driving policy (proof required if conditional employment is made)

Salary Range

$22.39 - $24.98 DOE (This rate applies to a 12 and 24 hour shift.)
