Job summary

AMR is seeking Paramedics in Hawthorne, CA to deliver compassionate, high-quality emergency medical services with both basic and advanced patient care.

Responsibilities include scene leadership, ambulance operation on 911 calls, and coordination with health and public safety teams. Must hold CA Paramedic license, EMT certifications, and relevant ICS/NIMS training, with a strong commitment to safety and patient care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Valid California Driver's License.
• Ambulance Driver’s License from DMV.
• Medical Examiner’s Card, Paramedic License, CPR/ACLS/PALS certifications.
• Completion of ICS/NIMS courses (IS-100B, IS-200B, IS-700A, IS-800B) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess each call situation and decide on the best action per Paramedic protocols.
• Use Paramedic skills with medical equipment to provide advanced care.
• Communicate with patients and families to explain care.
• Act as Paramedic team lead and manage scene and unit as needed.
• Drive the ambulance on 911 responses.
• Collaborate with allied health and safety personnel and fellow Paramedics.

POSITION SUMMARY

We’re hiring Paramedics that are passionate about delivering compassionate, high-quality service and basic, as well as advanced, patient care to our customers.

Responsibilities

• Assess each call situation to determine the best course of action while working with progressive Paramedic protocols.
• Utilize your Paramedic skills on medical equipment and procedures including defibrillator, EKG monitor, oxygen and suction devices, and intravenous fluids to provide advanced medical care.
• Communicate with patients and loved ones to provide information and assurance that care is being given.
• Act as Paramedic team leader and take responsibility for the scene and unit management as needed.
• Drive the ambulance on 911 responses.
• Work collaboratively and in a professional manner with all allied health and public safety personnel as well as your fellow Paramedics.

• Driving record in compliance with McCormick/AMR Safety and Driving policy (proof required if conditional employment is made)

Salary Range

$22.39 - $24.98 DOE (This rate applies to a 12 and 24 hour shift.)
