Job summary

AMR is hiring Paramedics to deliver compassionate, high-quality care, from basic to advanced patient care, across emergency scenes. You will lead field operations, drive ambulances on 911 responses, and coordinate with public safety teams to ensure seamless patient care.

The role requires CA paramedic licensure, CPR/ACLS/PALS or PEPP, and state EMS credentials. Internal applicants should use the designated portal.

• Medical Examiner’s Card.
• State Paramedic License (CA).
• CPR Card (AHA Health Care Provider).

• Driving record per McCormick/AMR Safety policy.
• ICS courses (IS-100B/IS-200B/IS-700A/IS-800B).

Responsibilities

• Assess each call to determine best action per Paramedic protocols.
• Use paramedic skills on defibrillator, EKG monitor, oxygen, suction, IV fluids for advanced care.
• Communicate with patients and loved ones to provide information and assurance.
• Act as Paramedic team leader and manage scene and unit as needed.
• Drive the ambulance on 911 responses.
• Collaborate with allied health, public safety personnel, and fellow Paramedics.

POSITION SUMMARY

We’re hiring Paramedics that are passionate about delivering compassionate, high-quality service and basic, as well as advanced, patient care to our customers.

Responsibilities

• Assess each call situation to determine the best course of action while working with progressive Paramedic protocols.
• Utilize your Paramedic skills on medical equipment and procedures including defibrillator, EKG monitor, oxygen and suction devices, and intravenous fluids to provide advanced medical care.
• Communicate with patients and loved ones to provide information and assurance that care is being given.
• Act as Paramedic team leader and take responsibility for the scene and unit management as needed.
• Drive the ambulance on 911 responses.
• Work collaboratively and in a professional manner with all allied health and public safety personnel as well as your fellow Paramedics.

Minimum Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED

• Medical Examiner’s Card
• State of California Paramedic License
• CPR Card (AHA ONLY, Health Care Provider. Hand written cards are not acceptable)
• ACLS Card (AHA ONLY, hand written cards are not acceptable)
• PALS Card (AHA ONLY, hand written cards are not acceptable) or PEPP
• Driving record in compliance with McCormick/AMR Safety and Driving policy (proof required if conditional employment is made)

Salary Range

$22.39 - $24.98 DOE (This rate applies to a 12 and 24 hour shift.)
