Overview

Superior Ambulance Service has been serving since 1959, starting with one ambulance and now being the largest independent, locally owned EMS provider in the Midwest. We employ over 2,500 licensed EMTs, Paramedics, and Nurses, operating a fleet of more than 500 ambulances across Illinois, Indiana, Ohio, Michigan, and Wisconsin. We also provide Critical Care, helicopter, and fixed wing emergency medical transportation.

EMTs and Paramedics ensure safe transportation and high-quality medical care within the scope of state EMS regulations, providing emergency and scheduled medical transports.

Responsibilities

• Provide appropriate patient care as per training as a Paramedic.
• Ensure safe transportation, including accurate map reading and address identification.
• Assess patients and communicate conditions effectively to medical professionals.
• Document patient condition, medical history, and treatments accurately.
• Complete billing documentation.
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness and monitor fluid levels and gauges.

Qualifications

• NREMT certification or current state license (or pending).
• Ability to provide medical care at EMT or Paramedic level during transport.
• Valid driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record and ability to operate vehicles in various conditions.
• Pass pre-employment physical, lifting exam, drug screen, and background check.
• Attend company-provided training and driving courses.
