Overview

Superior Ambulance Service, established in 1959, is the largest independent, locally owned emergency medical services provider in the Midwest, with over 2,500 licensed EMTs, Paramedics, and Nurses. We operate more than 500 ambulances across Illinois, Indiana, Ohio, Michigan, and Wisconsin, providing emergency and scheduled medical transports, including critical care, helicopter, and fixed-wing services.

Responsibilities

• Provide appropriate patient care within the scope of EMT training.
• Ensure safe transportation, including accurate map reading and address recognition.
• Assess patients and communicate their condition effectively to medical professionals.
• Document patient conditions, medical history, and treatments accurately.
• Maintain vehicle sanitation and monitor fluid levels and gauges.

Qualifications

• NREMT certification or current EMT/Paramedic state license (or pending).
• Ability to deliver medical care safely during transportation.
• Valid driver’s license with a good driving record; capable of operating in various conditions.
• Successful completion of a physical, lifting exam, and drug screening.
• Participation in company-provided training and driving courses.
