Job summary

American Medical Response (AMR) is hiring Paramedics for a full-time role in Temple, TX. You will provide advanced patient care using defibrillators, EKG monitors, oxygen, suction, and IV fluids, while leading on-scene operations and coordinating with public safety teams.

The position requires a State Paramedic License, a valid driver’s license, and BLS/ACLS/NREMT-Paramedic certifications, with a preference for healthcare experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• State Paramedic License and valid driver’s license required.
• BLS, ACLS, and NREMT-Paramedic certification required.
• Clean driving record and ability to pass agility test.
• Healthcare experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess each call situation and determine best action, following Paramedic protocols.
• Utilize Paramedic skills and equipment to provide advanced medical care.
• Communicate with patients and families to provide information and reassurance.
• Act as Paramedic team leader and manage scene and unit as needed.
• Drive the ambulance on 911 responses.
• Collaborate with allied health and public safety personnel.
• Participate in community programs to support AMR image.
