Job summary

Atrium Health is seeking a validated Paramedic to provide advanced life support and pre-hospital care in Georgia. The role includes rapid patient assessment, airway management, cardiac monitoring, and coordinating with receiving facilities.

Responsibilities include medication administration, defibrillation, safe transport, and precise clinical documentation while maintaining equipment readiness and upholding safety standards.

Qualifications

• Active Georgia Paramedic license and current BLS/ACLS certifications.
• Minimum 1 year of paramedic or ALS experience in pre-hospital care.
• Ability to perform advanced life support procedures within protocols.

Responsibilities

• Provide ALS emergency medical care per EMS protocols and medical direction.
• Perform thorough patient assessments and initiate appropriate interventions.
• Administer medications, manage airways, monitor cardiac status, and defibrillate when needed.
• Ensure safe patient handling, transport, and infection prevention.
• Operate EMS vehicles safely and comply with driving policies and laws.
• Complete accurate clinical documentation and reports.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and receiving facilities.
• Maintain vehicle/equipment readiness and report deficiencies.
• Demonstrate professional conduct and participate in training and QA activities.
• Performs other duties within scope as assigned.
