Job summary

Regional Health Services of Howard County in Cresco, IA is seeking a hospital-based Advanced Care Ambulance Paramedic to deliver life-sustaining procedures and provide rapid emergency care and transport under medical control.

Qualified candidates hold Iowa EMS certification, BLS CPR and ACLS, PALS within 6 months, a valid driver's license, hazmat, and ICS 100/200 within 3 months. Rotating day/evening/night/holiday shifts are expected.

Qualifications

• Current EMS certification from the State of Iowa.
• BLS (CPR) and ACLS certified
• PALS certified or obtained within 6 months of employment
• Valid driver’s license
• Current operational level Hazmat training within 1 year of onboarding.
• Successful completion of ICS 100 and ICS 200 within 3 months of employment.

Responsibilities

• Performs specialized life sustaining procedures in a hospital-based advance care ambulance service.
• Responsible for providing immediate emergency care and transport of the critically ill or injured under direction of medical control physician.
