Job summary

Baltimore County is hiring a Paramedic to deliver essential life support and emergency medical care in the field. You will respond to incidents, administer medications, and transport patients to the hospital while documenting care and maintaining equipment.

The position requires Maryland Paramedic credentials, a valid driver's license, and the ability to work rotating shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays. A recruitment bonus of $5,000 is offered with staged payments over 24 months.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or state equivalent.
• Possession of Maryland Paramedic license, or Maryland Cardiac Rescue Technician license, or National Registry Paramedic certification; MD Intermediate/99 or NR certification acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic and advanced life support to sick, injured, or convalescent persons.
• Administer medications intravenously, intramuscularly, subcutaneously and orally.
• Evaluate patients and assist in safe transportation to medical facilities.
• Maintain logs, reports, and equipment; drive ambulance when required.
