Job summary

Atrium Health is seeking a certified Paramedic to deliver advanced life support within our EMS program in Georgia. You will perform comprehensive assessments, administer medications, and provide rapid, high-quality patient care in high‑acuity situations.

Responsibilities include documentation, patient handoffs, vehicle readiness, and ongoing education to maintain clinical proficiency and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Current, active Georgia Paramedic License, in good standing.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications, maintained without lapse.
• Valid Georgia Driver’s License with acceptable driving record.
• Criminal background check and licensure verification must be clear.

Responsibilities

• Provide ALS emergency medical care per EMS protocols and medical direction.
• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and initiate appropriate interventions.
• Administer medications, manage airway, monitor cardiac status and defibrillate as needed.
• Ensure safe patient handling, transport, and infection prevention practices.
• Operate emergency vehicles safely and in compliance with policies and laws.
• Document patient care, treatment records, and non-transport documentation accurately.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, healthcare providers, and receiving facilities.
• Maintain readiness of vehicles, equipment, and supplies; report deficiencies.
• Demonstrate professional conduct and teamwork; support safety culture.
• Participate in training, quality improvement, and competency validation.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
