Qualifications

• Current Georgia Paramedic License required and must be maintained.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required and maintained.
• Valid Georgia Driver’s License required.
• Criminal background screening and licensure verification required.
• Minimum 1 year of paramedic/advanced life support experience required.

Responsibilities

• Provide ALS emergency medical care per EMS protocols and medical direction.
• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and initiate appropriate interventions.
• Administer medications and manage advanced airway, cardiac monitoring, and defibrillation.
• Ensure safe patient handling, transport, and infection prevention practices.
• Operate emergency vehicles safely and in compliance with policies and laws.
• Complete accurate, timely patient care reports and documentation.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, providers, and receiving facilities.
• Maintain readiness of vehicles, equipment, and supplies; report deficiencies.
• Demonstrate professional conduct and teamwork; support safety culture.
• Participate in training, QA activities, and competency validation.
