Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age.
• Hold a Florida Class E License.
• Have and maintain a good driving record.
• Be in generally good physical health.
• Be free of mental illness.
• Be free from addiction to alcohol or drugs.
• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Possess an ACLS Provider certification.
• Possess Florida Paramedic Certification.
• Have completed 16-hour EVOC or equivalent.
• No DUI/DWI conviction in last 7 years.
• Complete DHS FEMA training: ICS-100a, IS-5a, IS-700, IS-800.

Responsibilities

• Drive ALS or BLS units as required.
• Provide Advanced Life Support medical care.
• Serve as the senior Medical Technician on ALS/BLS units as needed.
