Job summary

Kindred Care seeks a Paramedic (EMT-P) to join our Non-Emergency Transport team. You will deliver Advanced Life Support on ambulances, assess patients, manage airway and vital signs, and assist in high-quality patient care with a focus on safety and reliability.

The role requires Florida Paramedic certification, ACLS, FEMA training completion, and the ability to drive and lift heavy loads while maintaining patient dignity and privacy.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age.
• Hold a current Florida Class E License.
• Have and maintain a good driving record.
• Be in generally good physical health.
• Be free of any mental illness.
• Be free from addiction to alcohol or drugs.
• Have a high school diploma, equivalent certification, or a GED.
• Possess a current American Heart Association Advanced Cardiac Life Support Provider certification.
• Documentation of completion of DHS FEMA Training: ICS-100a, IS-5a, IS-700, IS-800.
• Possess a current Florida Paramedic certification.
• Completion of state required 16-hour EVOC or equivalent.
• No DUI/DWI conviction in last 7 years.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient's condition.
• Take and record vital signs including pulse oximetry.
• Provide airway management per protocols.
• Administer oxygen as needed.
• Treat for shock and provide ALS care as required.
• Apply splints and bandages.
• Follow protocols for starting IVs, ECG monitoring, airway management, and advanced interventions.
• Ensure crew and patient safety.
• Maintain patient privacy and information security.
