Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age.
• Hold a current Florida Class E License.
• Have and maintain a good driving record.

• Have a high school diploma, equivalent certification, or a GED.
• Possess a current American Heart Association Advanced Cardiac Life Support Provider certification.
• Possess a current Certification as a Florida Paramedic.
• Have Documentation of completion of state required 16-hour EVOC course or the equivalent.
• Has not been convicted of a DUI/DWI in the last 7 years.
• Has completed (from the DHS FEMA Training Website): ICS – 100a, Introduction to Incident Command System; IS‑5a, Introduction to Hazardous Materials; IS 700, Introduction to National Incident Management System; IS‑800, Introduction to the National Response Plan.
