Job summary

Heartland Ambulance in Indiana is seeking a Paramedic to provide advanced life support and basic life support emergency medical care, patient assessment and transport services.

Responsibilities include performing life-saving procedures, ensuring safe operation of ambulances, maintaining equipment and inventories, and completing all required paperwork with professional appearance at all times. Must hold Indiana EMT-Paramedic certification and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Must be EMT-Paramedic certified/licensed in Indiana.
• No criminal record.
• High school diploma or GED.
• ACLS Certification preferred but not required.
• BCLS Certification preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Safe and efficient operation of ambulances and other company equipment.
• Basic life support treatment and transportation of sick and injured persons.
• Providing basic and advanced emergency medical treatment and life-saving procedures
• Prepares inventories and stocks supplies and inspects equipment for proper operation.
• Must be able to safely lift, transfer and maneuver patients in and out of ambulances, facilities, residences and other locations.
• Respond to emergency calls, assess patient condition and make critical care decisions quickly
• Complete any and all paperwork
• Follow proper protocol and maintain professional appearance at all times
