Job summary

Heartland Ambulance in Indiana is seeking a Paramedic to provide advanced and basic life support, conduct patient assessments, and transport patients to care facilities. You will respond to emergencies, follow protocols, and maintain equipment readiness in a hands-on, in-person setting.

Qualified candidates hold Indiana EMT-Paramedic licensure, with ACLS/BCLS certifications preferred. A clean record and a high school diploma or GED are required for this full-time position.

Qualifications

• Must be Emergency Medical Technician-Paramedic certified/licensed in Indiana
• No criminal record
• High school diploma or GED
• ACLS Certification (preferred not required)
• BCLS Certification (preferred not required)

Responsibilities

• Safe and efficient operation of ambulances and other company equipment.
• Basic life support treatment and transportation of sick and injured persons.
• Providing basic and advanced emergency medical treatment and life-saving procedures
• Prepares inventories and stocks supplies and inspects equipment for proper operation.
• Must be able to safely lift, transfer and maneuver patients in and out of ambulances, facilities, residences and other locations.
• Respond to emergency calls, assess patient condition and make critical care decisions quickly
• Complete any and all paperwork
• Follow proper protocol and maintain professional appearance at all times
