Job summary

Qualifications

• Certified Paramedic in Texas.
• CPR certification.
• ACLS and PALS certifications.

Responsibilities

• Responds to emergency and non-emergency calls 24 hours per day.
• Drives a variety of emergency vehicles in all road conditions.
• Follows all driving laws, policies and procedures.
• Uses communication equipment to coordinate with dispatchers, EMS crews and other responders.
• Maintains vehicles and equipment in a state of readiness and cleanliness.
• Completes daily vehicle and supply checklists and participates in resupply and decontamination tasks.
• Reports discrepancies with vehicles, supplies or equipment in writing.
• Provides direct patient care per Medical Director's authorization and protocols.
• Demonstrates clinical competency in all patient care scenarios.
• Interacts with outside agencies such as Police, Fire Departments, and First Responders.
• Delivers satisfactory customer service and professional conduct in all contacts.
• Completes patient care reports and billing information in a timely manner.
