Adena Health System is seeking a Paramedic/Advanced EMT for Adena EMS in Chillicothe, Ohio. This full-time night-shift role (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) provides emergency medical care and transportation under the EMT-Paramedic scope, with occasional weekend requirements.

The position requires a High School Diploma or GED, Ohio EMT-Paramedic Certification with BLS and ACLS, a valid Ohio driver's license, and at least 1 year of healthcare experience.

What You’ll Do

Provides appropriate emergency medical care and transportation within the EMT - Paramedic scope of practice as established by Adena Health System standards and procedures. Responsible for patient assessment, treatment, and transport to or from medical facilities or residences. Maintains treatment protocols, safety standards, and effective communication in high‑stress environments. Ensures safe ambulance operation and professional representation of the EMS Health Care System. Includes direct patient care and operates under the supervision of the EMS Manager.

Minimum Qualifications

Required Educational Degree: High School Diploma or GED

Preferred Education: NRP

Required Certifications, Credentials and Licences: Ohio EMT - Paramedic Certification, BLS, ACLS, Valid Ohio Driver’s License

Preferred Certifications, Credentials and Licence(s): NREMT Paramedic Certification, EVOC Certification, NRP

Required Experience: 1 year healthcare experience

Preferred Experience: 2 years of private or emergent (911) medical services experience
