Job summary

Adena Health System in Chillicothe, OH, is hiring a Paramedic for Adena EMS Mid Shift (11:00 AM – 11 PM). The role supports patient care and emergency transportation within Adena Health System standards, under EMS Manager supervision.

Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, OH EMT-Paramedic Certification, BLS/ACLS, and a valid Ohio Driver’s License, with 1 year healthcare experience. Desired NRP/EVOC, and 2 years EMS experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• OH EMT-Paramedic Certification, BLS and ACLS required.
• Valid Ohio Driver’s License.
• 1 year healthcare experience required.
• 2 years private or emergent EMS experience preferred.
• NRP and EVOC certifications preferred.
• Must be at least 21 years old.

Responsibilities

• Provides emergency medical care and transportation within the EMT-Paramedic scope of practice.
• Maintains treatment protocols and safety standards.
• Ensures safe ambulance operation and professional representation of Adena EMS.
• Works under the EMS Manager supervision.

What You’ll Do

Provides appropriate emergency medical care and transportation within the EMT - Paramedic

scope of practice as established by Adena Health System standards and procedures. Responsible

for patient assessment, treatment, and transport to or from medical facilities or residences.

Maintains treatment protocols, safety standards, and effective communication in high-stress

environments. Ensures safe ambulance operation and professional representation of the EMS

Health Care System. Includes direct patient care and operates under the supervision of the EMS

Manager.

Minimum Qualifications

• Required Educational Degree: High School Diploma or GED
• Preferred Education: NRP
• Required Certifications, Credentials and Licenses: Ohio EMT - Paramedic Certification, BLS, ACLS, Valid Ohio Driver’s License
• Preferred Certifications, Credentials and License s: NREMT Paramedic Certification, EVOC Certification, NRP
• Required Experience: 1 year healthcare experience
• Preferred Experience: 2 years of private or emergent (911) medical services experience
• Must be at least 21 years of age to be insurable under our insurance.
