Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelor's degree in a related field and extensive leadership experience in public safety or education administration.
• Knowledge of California Community Colleges laws, regulations, and accreditation standards.
• Experience with curriculum development, instructional coordination, and program assessment.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coach staff; plan, assign, schedule, and evaluate work; handle employee performance issues.
• Oversee day-to-day Academy operations and communications; coordinate with the PSA Director on instructional programs.
• Coordinate instruction sequencing, curriculum development, and delivery of mandated training objectives.
• Facilitate testing of cadets and input scores into the appropriate systems.
• Ensure compliance with Education Code, regulations, accreditation standards, and district policies.
• Assist in budgeting, scheduling, planning, marketing, and outreach for the Academy.
• Prepare and disseminate program data and reports for state submission and internal use.
