Job summary

AMR is seeking a Paramedic in Colorado. This 911 position works directly with the Fire Department and operates on a 48/96 shift schedule. Starting pay is $57,408.00 per year with credit for experience.

You will assess calls, provide advanced medical care with defibrillator, EKG monitor, oxygen, suction devices, and IV fluids, and lead the team at the scene as needed. A Colorado Paramedic License and driving credentials are required, with BLS/ACLS/NREMT-Paramedic certifications.

Qualifications

• Colorado Paramedic License is required.
• BLS, ACLS and NREMT-Paramedic certifications are required.
• High school diploma or equivalent (GED) and valid driver's license are required.

Responsibilities

• Assess each call situation to determine the best course of action while working with progressive Paramedic protocols.
• Utilize Paramedic skills on medical equipment and procedures including defibrillator, EKG monitor, oxygen and suction devices, and intravenous fluids to provide advanced medical care.
• Communicate with patients and loved ones to provide information and assurance that care is being given.
• Act as Paramedic team leader and take responsibility for the scene and unit management as needed.
• Drive the ambulance on 911 responses.
• Work collaboratively and in a professional manner with all allied health and public safety personnel as well as your fellow Paramedics.
• Participate in community programs to maintain AMR image and establish strong community relations.
