Job summary

AMR in Santa Barbara County is seeking a full-time Paramedic to deliver high-quality emergency care and advanced life support. You will lead on-scene operations, coordinate with public safety teams, and provide compassionate patient care across the county, including Buellton and nearby areas.

Candidates must hold CA Paramedic license, CA Driver's license, and BLS/ACLS/PALS/PEPP/BTLS. A 20k sign-on bonus is offered for external hires meeting requirements.

Qualifications

• Must be a certified Paramedic with CA license and ambulance driving credentials.
• Must hold BLS/ACLS/PALS/PEPP/BTLS/PHTLS certifications per AMR requirements.
• Experience in emergency medical services is preferred.
• Ability to work in high-stress, dynamic environments.

Responsibilities

• Assess each call to determine best course of action using advanced Paramedic protocols.
• Provide advanced medical care with defibrillator, EKG monitors, oxygen/suction, IV therapy.
• Communicate clearly with patients and families, ensuring informed, compassionate care.
• Act as Paramedic team leader on-scene and manage unit operations as needed.
• Respond to 911 calls and operate an ambulance safely and efficiently.
• Collaborate with allied health and public safety personnel.
