Job summary

American Medical Response is hiring full-time Paramedics to deliver high-quality emergency care in Santa Barbara County. You will lead on-scene operations, respond to 911 calls, and provide advanced life support using defibrillators and monitors. This role requires California paramedic license, driver’s licenses, and AHAs certifications.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• California State Paramedic License Card required.
• California Driver’s License and Ambulance Driver's License required.
• American Heart Association BLS/ACLS/PALS/PEPP/BTLS-PHTLS certificates preferred.
• Medical Examiner's Certificate and K4 driving report required within 30 days.
• ICS-100, IC-200, NIMS-700 preferred.
• Proof of vaccinations or titers accepted when vaccines are in progress.

Responsibilities

• Assess each call to determine best action using paramedic protocols.
• Utilize medical equipment to provide advanced care.
• Communicate clearly with patients and families.
• Act as Paramedic team leader on-scene and manage units.
• Respond to 911 calls and operate an ambulance safely.
• Collaborate with allied health and public safety personnel.
