Job summary

Rural Metro Fire Department is hiring a Paramedic for a part-time role focused on delivering compassionate, high-quality patient care on both basic and advanced levels. Required credentials include a WA State Paramedic License or NREMT-P, a valid State Driver’s License, ACLS and PALS, and a clean driving record.

Qualifications

• WA State Paramedic License or NREMT-P is required.
• High school diploma or GED is required.
• State Driver’s License is required.
• ACLS and PALS certifications are required.
• Driving record must be in compliance with company policy.
• Must pass Physical Agility Test.
• Some healthcare work experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Use defibrillator, EKG monitor, oxygen, suction devices and IV fluids to provide advanced care.
• Communicate with patients and families to provide information and reassurance.
• Act as Paramedic team leader and manage the scene and unit as needed.
• Drive the ambulance on 911 responses.
• Collaborate with allied health, public safety personnel and fellow Paramedics.
• Participate in community programs to maintain AMR image and relations.

Part-Time

We're hiring Paramedics that are passionate about delivering compassionate, high-quality service and basic, as well as advanced, patient care to our customers.

Responsibilities

• Assess each call situation to determine the best course of action while working with progressive Paramedic protocols.
• Utilize your Paramedic skills on medical equipment and procedures including defibrillator, EKG monitor, oxygen and suction devices, and intravenous fluids to provide advanced medical care.
• Communicate with patients and loved ones to provide information and assurance that care is being given.
• Act as Paramedic team leader and take responsibility for the scene and unit management as needed.
• Drive the ambulance on 911 responses.
• Work collaboratively and in a professional manner with all allied health and public safety personnel as well as your fellow Paramedics.

Other Responsibilities

• Participate in community programs to maintain AMR image and establish strong community relations.

Minimum Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
• WA State Paramedic License or NREMT-P
• State Driver’s License
• ACLS, PALS
• Driving record in compliance with company policy
• Pass Physical Agility Test
• Some work experience, preferably in healthcare

Pay Range: $80,327.94 - $99,204.62/yr DOE (Based on a Full Time, Non-Exempt position working normal schedule)
