Action Ambulance Service Inc. is seeking Paramedics for the Wilmington Division in Massachusetts. We have full-time, part-time, and per diem openings with a competitive salary range and comprehensive benefits.

Paramedics provide care per Statewide Treatment Protocols, maintain equipment, and assist with non-emergency transportation. Major responsibilities include patient assessment, stabilization, and communications with centers and receiving facilities, while upholding safety and hygiene

Qualifications

• Paramedic certification required.
• State issued driver’s license.
• AHA, BLS for the healthcare provider certification.
• AHA Advanced Cardiac Life Support

Responsibilities

• Reassuring patients and bystanders by working in a confident, efficient manner.
• Assess, stabilize and treat patients in accordance to MA and Action Ambulance standards.
• Provides communications to various communications centers and notifies receiving facilities when appropriate.
• Avoiding mishandling and undue haste while working expeditiously to accomplish the task.
• Cleans all equipment following appropriate disinfecting procedures.
• Decontaminates the interior of the vehicle after transport of patient with contagious infection or hazardous materials exposure.
• Ensures that the ambulance is clean and washed and kept in a neat orderly condition in accordance with local, state or federal regulations.
• Attends refresher and continuing education as required.

General Function:

Paramedics provides care according to the Statewide Treatment Protocols. Paramedics check equipment and supplies and maintain their assigned facility. Also provide non-emergency transportation.

Physical Requirements:

• Lifting the stretcher (be able to lift and carry 125 pounds),
• Being able to stand for an extended amount of time.
