Job summary

Cataldo Ambulance Service Inc. seeks a dedicated paramedic to provide safe, efficient response, treatment, and transport for emergent and non-emergent cases. You will perform on-scene care, monitor EKGs, administer medications, and support prehospital workflows across bases.

Required MA Paramedic Certification and NRP/CPR-ACLS credentials, with 1–3 years EMT B/A experience. Strong communication, organization, and customer service skills are essential for success.

Job description

The role of a paramedic is to provide safe and efficient response, treatment, and transportation of all persons requesting or requiring emergent or non-emergent medical services. In addition to providing treatment onsite or during ambulance transportation in trauma, cardiac, or respiratory emergencies, medics also perform complex prehospital care including inserting IV lines, administering medications, and monitoring electrocardiograms (EKGs).

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver quality patient care in accordance with clinical policies, statewide protocol, and standards of care
• Attend to patients in a courteous and professional manner
• Operate the ambulance in accordance with safety rules and regulations; company policies; federal, state, and local laws, regulations, and statutes.
• Complete an ambulance and medical equipment checklist at the beginning of each assigned shift. Inspect and clean the assigned ambulance and all medical equipment to ensure compliance with minimum stock requirements and proper function.
• Complete and submit all documentation/paperwork PCR requirements daily.
• Communicate effectively and professionally with internal and external individuals, including agencies, physicians, and other healthcare providers at all times.
• Be knowledgeable of and comply with all company policies, procedures, and guidelines.
• Perform daily housekeeping duties at assigned bases of operation
• Maintains knowledge of and complies with all company policies, procedures, and guidelines at all times.

Education

Experience

• Minimum of 1-3 years of prior working EMT B or A experience required
• Experience with computer systems required, including web-based applications and some Microsoft Office applications preferred.

Requirements

• Verification of an acceptable motor vehicle driving record, verification required annually.
