Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years experience as a full time paramedic.
  • Preferred National Registry for Paramedics.
  • Experience in emergency services.

Responsibilities

  • Safely navigate ambulance to patient’s location.
  • Provide stabilization of the scene.
  • Administer emergency medical care as needed.
  • Contact medical personnel and report observations.
  • Maintain equipment and supplies in the unit.
  • Represent Harris EMS in public engagements.

Responsibilities
  • Safely navigate ambulance to patient’s location.
  • Provide stabilization of scene and request additional assistance as necessary.
  • Determine nature and extent of illness or injury and patient’s history from available sources.
  • Administer emergency medical care within scope of practice, including patient stabilization, monitoring, and resuscitation, from the scene to receiving medical facility.
  • Contact medical personnel, report/record observations, and follow directives.
  • Ensure that during a shift that the assigned unit is properly equipped, stocked, and prepared to respond to a single or multiple patient incidents.
  • Represent Harris EMS in meetings, workshops and demonstrations for the public.

Education

Associate's Degree Preferred

Licenses

Paramedic; National Registry preferred

Certifications

AHA, ARC or ASHI/HSI BLS/CPR; AHA, ARC or ASHI/HSI ACLS/ALS; AHA, ARC or ASHI/HSI PALS or PEPP; Trauma Certification: BTLS, PHTLS, ITLS, TECC or TCCC

Minimum Work Experience

Minimum of 3 years experience as a full time paramedic
