Novant Health is seeking a Paramedic to join our healthcare team in North Carolina. You will establish personalized relationships with patients and collaborate with nurses and physicians to provide goal-directed care.

Responsibilities include triage, rapid assessment, trauma and critical care response, and continuous monitoring of critically ill patients while awaiting beds or ICU transfer. A NC Paramedic license (or reciprocity) and required certifications are essential.

Competenze

• Education: High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Experience: Prefer at least one year with a paid EMS provider at the Paramedic level.
• Licensure/Certification: NC Paramedic certification (or eligible for reciprocity); BCLS, ACLS, PALS required; ITLS or PHTLS within 90 days of hire.

The Paramedic accepts accountability for provision of care, as part of the RN and physician led team, in accordance with the current policies, protocols and procedures.

What You'll Do

• Triage and Intake: Receive incoming ambulance and walk-in patients, collect initial vital signs and medical history, and assist nurses with rapid patient assessment.


• Trauma and Critical Care Response: Respond immediately to high-acuity events such as Trauma Alerts, Code Blues, Code Fasts, and STEMI (heart attack) activations.


• Ongoing Monitoring: Continuously monitor critically ill or injured patients while they wait for beds, tests, or transfer to the ICU.

What We're Looking For

• Education: High School Diploma or GED, required.


• Experience: Prefer at least one-year experience with a paid EMS provider at the Paramedic level.


• Licensure/Certification:North Carolina Paramedic certification (or eligible for reciprocity). BCLS, ACLS, PALS required. ITLS or PHTLS required within 90 days of hire. Current and valid driver's license and must the meet requirements of the Medical Center's Insurance carrier. Must meet general hospital driving requirements. EVO is required to drive during emergency situations.
