Job summary

Novant Health is seeking a Paramedic to join our care team in North Carolina. The paramedic will build genuine relationships with patients and their families while working with other clinicians to deliver evidence-based care in alignment with current protocols.

• At least 1 year EMS paramedic experience preferred.
• North Carolina Paramedic certification (or reciprocity). BCLS, ACLS, PALS required. ITLS or PHTLS within 90 days of hire. Valid driver's license and compliance with hospital driving policies. EVO required for emergency driving.

• Establish an authentic, personalized relationship with the patient and their support system.
• Collaborate with the RN and physician-led team to provide care per current policies, protocols and procedures.

The Paramedic accepts accountability for provision of care, as part of the RN and physician led team, in accordance with the current policies, protocols and procedures.

What We're Looking For

• Education: High School Diploma or GED, required.
• Experience: Prefer at least one-year experience with a paid EMS provider at the Paramedic level.
• Licensure/Certification: North Carolina Paramedic certification (or eligible for reciprocity). BCLS, ACLS, PALS required. ITLS or PHTLS required within 90 days of hire. Current and valid driver's license and must the meet requirements of the Medical Center’s Insurance carrier. Must meet general hospital driving requirements. EVO is required to drive during emergency situations.
