Job summary

Rural Metro Fire Department is seeking a Paramedic for a part-time role to deliver compassionate, high-quality care on both basic and advanced medical calls.

Responsibilities include leading scenes when needed, driving ambulances on 911 responses, and collaborating with public safety teams while maintaining AMR community relations. Required: state paramedic license, drivers license, and BLS/ACLS/NREMT-Paramedic certifications; strong patient care skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• State Paramedic License.
• State Driver’s License.
• BLS, ACLS, NREMT-Paramedic certifications.
• Pass Physical Agility Test.

Responsibilities

• Assess each call to determine best action using Paramedic protocols.
• Provide advanced medical care with defibrillator, EKG monitor, oxygen, suction, IV fluids.
• Communicate with patients and families to provide care information.
• Act as Paramedic team leader and manage scene and unit as needed.
• Drive the ambulance on 911 responses.
• Collaborate with allied health and public safety personnel.
• Participate in community programs to maintain AMR image and relations.

Responsibilities:

• Assess each call situation to determinethebest course of action while working with progressive Paramedic protocols.
• Utilize your Paramedic skills on medical equipment and procedures including defibrillator, EKG monitor, oxygen and suction devices, and intravenous fluids to provide advanced medical care.
• Communicate with patientsand loved ones to provide information and assurance that care is being given.
• Act as Paramedic team leader and take responsibility for the scene and unit management as needed.
• Drive the ambulance on 911 responses.
• Work collaboratively and in a professional manner with all allied health and public safety personnel as well as yourfellow Paramedics.

OtherResponsibilities:

• Participate in community programs to maintain AMR image and establish strong community relations.

MinimumRequiredQualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
• State Paramedic License
• State Driver’s License
• BLS, ACLS, NREMT-Paramedic
• Driving record in compliance withcompanypolicy
• PassPhysical Agility Test
• Some work experience, preferably in healthcare
