Job summary

CORE Occupational Medicine in Montrose, MO is seeking an experienced Paramedic (EMT-P) to join our team on a PRN basis. The role delivers on-site emergency response and medical support for our clients, with emphasis on rapid assessment and clear communication with care facilities and site personnel.

Qualified candidates will hold state EMT-P certification or National Registry, CPR/AED, and have prior 911 or first-response experience.

Qualifications

  • Current First Aid/CPR/AED certification.
  • 1st response or EMT/Paramedic experience preferred.
  • Flexible schedule including days, nights, and weekends.

Responsibilities

  • Respond to emergencies efficiently and promptly.
  • Administer basic first aid and medical support per policy and regulations.
  • Assess injuries/illnesses to prioritize procedures.
  • Coordinate with medical professionals and treatment facilities for next steps.
  • Communicate with client/site personnel about incidents and hazards.
  • Support safe worksite environment with safety teams.

Position Responsibilities
  • Responding to emergencies efficiently and promptly
  • Administering basic first aid and medical support to patients, in accordance with federal, state, local and company policy and regulations
  • Assessing the nature and extent of injuries/illnesses to prioritize medical procedures
  • Effectively communicating with medical professionals and treatment facilities to obtain instructions regarding further action
  • Effectively communicating with client and site personnel regarding any worksite incidents, hazards, etc.
  • Demonstrating a strong orientation towards team work and the ability to understand the importance of team coordinated efforts
  • Demonstrating a strong ability to be cognizant of the constantly changing worksite environment and construction site hazards
  • Ensuring that quality, clinical standards are practiced at all times
  • Documenting all findings and treatments clearly and concisely
  • Conducting oneself in a helpful, dignified and professional manner regardless of stress level and personal circumstances
  • Assisting the Site Safety Managers and Personnel in maintaining the most safe and secure work environment possible
Position Qualifications
  • Paramedic (EMT-P) State Certification and/or National Registry; must provide proof of reciprocity
  • Previous EMT/Paramedic experience, 1st response experience or emergency 911 experience preferred
  • Flexible schedule: Days, Nights, Weekend availability required
  • Current First Aid/CPR/AED certification; any additional certifications are a plus
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships with client and employees
