Job summary

CORE is a leader in Occupational Medicine. We seek an experienced Paramedic to join our team in the Texas City, TX area. This is a FT position, M-F, day shifts, with competitive salary and benefits.

Responsibilities include responding to emergencies, providing basic first aid, assessing injuries, coordinating with medical staff and client/site personnel, maintaining clinical standards, documenting care, and supporting site safety to ensure a safe work environment.

Qualifications

• Paramedic (EMT-P) State Certification and/or National Registry; reciprocity proof.
• Previous EMT/Paramedic or 911 response experience preferred.
• Current First Aid/CPR/AED certification; additional certifications are a plus.
• Strong interpersonal skills to build relationships with client and employees.

Responsibilities

• Respond to emergencies efficiently and promptly.
• Administer basic first aid and medical support to patients per policy and regulations.
• Assess injuries/illnesses to prioritize medical procedures.
• Communicate with medical professionals and treatment facilities for further action.
• Communicate with client and site personnel regarding incidents and hazards.
• Demonstrate teamwork and coordination in a fast-paced environment.
• Recognize changing worksite conditions and hazards; adapt as needed.
• Ensure quality clinical standards are practiced at all times.
• Document findings and treatments clearly and concisely.
• Conduct oneself professionally under stress and during emergencies.
• Assist Site Safety Managers in maintaining a safe work environment.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Responding to emergencies efficiently and promptly
• Administering basic first aid and medical support to patients, in accordance with federal, state, local and company policy and regulations
• Assessing the nature and extent of injuries/illnesses to prioritize medical procedures
• Effectively communicating with medical professionals and treatment facilities to obtain instructions regarding further action
• Effectively communicating with client and site personnel regarding any worksite incidents, hazards, etc.
• Demonstrating a strong orientation towards team work and the ability to understand the importance of team coordinated efforts
• Demonstrating a strong ability to be cognizant of the constantly changing worksite environment and construction site hazards
• Ensuring that quality, clinical standards are practiced at all times
• Documenting all findings and treatments clearly and concisely
• Conducting oneself in a helpful, dignified and professional manner regardless of stress level and personal circumstances
• Assisting the Site Safety Managers and Personnel in maintaining the most safe and secure work environment possible

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:

• Paramedic (EMT-P) State Certification and/or National Registry; must provide proof of reciprocity
• Previous EMT/Paramedic experience, 1st response experience or emergency 911 experience preferred
• Current First Aid/CPR/AED certification; any additional certifications are a plus
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships with client and employees
