This position provides quality paramedic services, including initial assessment and proper treatment interventions (invasive and noninvasive) to neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients in need of emergency and nonemergency medical care in the pre-hospital environment. The role is governed by the operating medical protocols, policies, and procedures of South Central Regional Medical Center, as approved by the Administration, Medical Director, and the Mississippi State Department of Health, BEMS.

Decision-making involves following and executing protocols in conjunction with on-duty medical control physicians and shift supervisors.
Physical assessment tasks include walking on various terrains, lifting equipment and patients, pushing/pulling/loading/unloading stretchers, and operating medical equipment.
