Hunter’s Ambulance Service, part of Hartford HealthCare Emergency Medical Services, provides emergency and non-emergency pre-hospital care across Connecticut. Paramedics play a critical role in rapid response, transport, and on-scene life support.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Valid CT driver’s license; paramedic license preferred.
• Active Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• ACLS and PALS certifications preferred.
• Paramedic experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Responds to emergency and non-emergency calls promptly to administer life support as per state protocols.
• Operates emergency vehicles safely and in compliance with regulations.
• Maintains supplies and equipment and communicates patient disposition timely.
• Supports dispatch instructions and prioritizes patient care.
• Documents patient information accurately and timely.

Hunter’s Ambulance Service is a licensed commercial ambulance company owned and operated by Hartford HealthCare Emergency Medical Services. The company operates six locations across central and southern Connecticut and provides both emergency and nonemergency medical care to facilities and communities throughout the state. Your Impact:

• Responds to instructions from emergency medical dispatchers and performs assignments in a timely manner
• Responds to emergency and non-emergency calls calmly, efficiently, and promptly to administer necessary life support, either basic or acute to patients in accordance with State protocol while in a pre-hospital setting and during transport to the hospital
• Operates emergency vehicles in accordance with regulations and company policy
• Assures proper stocking, re-stocking and maintenance of medical supplies and equipment
• Provides accurate and timely written and typed communication on patient disposition

• High School Diploma or GED
• Valid CT Driver's License
• Valid State of Connecticut Paramedic License (experience preferred)
• Valid Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider CPR certification
• Valid Advanced Cardiac Life Support and Pediatric Advance Life Support certifications
