Job summary

Coast Life Support District in California seeks a paramedic to join our 24/7 ALS response team. You will deliver Basic Life Support and Advanced Life Support, assess patients, and transport under Coastal Valleys EMS policies.

You will also assist with equipment readiness and community risk reduction. Ideal candidate holds a California Paramedic License, current CPR, ACLS and PALS, and a High School diploma.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalence required.
• Active California Paramedic License required.
• Current CPR certification (American Heart Association) required.
• ACLS and PALS certifications required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver BLS and ALS patient care on calls and transports.
• Support equipment readiness and readiness for 24/7 operations.
• Assist with public education and community risk reduction efforts.

Job description

Coast Life Support District is a public agency ambulance that covers the communities on the southern Mendocino and northern Sonoma coast, providing 24/7 911 ALS response and transport. Paramedics respond to calls for service and deliver Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Life Support (ALS) patient care, medical assessment, and ambulance transport in accordance with Coastal Valleys EMS policies and procedures. Paramedics also assist with equipment readiness, and support public education and community risk reduction efforts as assigned.

CLSD is located approximately 2hrs from the closest emergency department and the ideal candidate will be comfortable administering patient care over long distances and operating under expanded scope protocols.

Current ACLS and PALS card

Ability to obtain licensure with Coastal Valleys EMSA within 8 weeks of hiring date

Ability to obtain California Ambulance Driver's certificate upon hire
