Job summary

CORE Occupational Medicine seeks a Paramedic (EMT-P) for Elkton, VA. This role supports emergency response, on-site medical care, and coordination with client sites under state and federal guidelines.

Responsibilities include triage, documentation, and collaboration with safety teams to maintain a safe work environment. A valid EMT-P license, CPR/AED, and 911 experience are preferred; full-time and PRN options are available.

Qualifications

• Paramedic (EMT-P) State Certification and/or National Registry; proof of reciprocity required.
• Previous EMT/Paramedic experience or 911 emergency response preferred.
• Current First Aid/CPR/AED certification; additional certifications are a plus.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships with clients and employees.

Responsibilities

• Responding to emergencies efficiently and promptly.
• Administering basic first aid and medical support following policy and regulations.
• Assessing injuries/illnesses to prioritize medical procedures.
• Communicating with medical professionals and facilities for further actions.
• Communicating with client and site personnel about worksite incidents and hazards.
• Demonstrating teamwork and coordinated efforts.
• Maintaining awareness of changing worksite environment and hazards.
• Ensuring quality, clinical standards are practiced at all times.
• Documenting findings and treatments clearly and concisely.
• Conducting oneself professionally under stress.
• Assisting Site Safety Managers to maintain a safe work environment.

Position Responsibilities

• Responding to emergencies efficiently and promptly
• Administering basic first aid and medical support to patients, in accordance with federal, state, local and company policy and regulations
• Assessing the nature and extent of injuries/illnesses to prioritize medical procedures
• Effectively communicating with medical professionals and treatment facilities to obtain instructions regarding further action
• Effectively communicating with client and site personnel regarding any worksite incidents, hazards, etc.
• Demonstrating a strong orientation towards team work and the ability to understand the importance of team coordinated efforts
• Demonstrating a strong ability to be cognizant of the constantly changing worksite environment and construction site hazards
• Ensuring that quality, clinical standards are practiced at all times
• Documenting all findings and treatments clearly and concisely
• Conducting oneself in a helpful, dignified and professional manner regardless of stress level and personal circumstances
• Assisting the Site Safety Managers and Personnel in maintaining the most safe and secure work environment possible

Position Qualifications

• Paramedic (EMT-P) State Certification and/or National Registry; must provide proof of reciprocity
• Previous EMT/Paramedic experience, 1st response experience or emergency 911 experience preferred
• Current First Aid/CPR/AED certification; any additional certifications are a plus
