Job summary

Sampson Regional Medical Center in Clinton, NC is seeking a Paramedic to join the Ambulance Services Department. The role involves transporting and caring for patients, collaborating with the Emergency Department clinical team, and providing age-specific care in alignment with hospital policies.

The ideal candidate will have OEMS-approved paramedic training with NC certification, plus pre-hospital experience and current BCLS/ACLS/PALS certifications.

Qualifications

• OEMS approved training & competency program for Paramedic, and current NC Paramedic Certification is required.
• Six months experience in a pre-hospital environment as a Paramedic is required.
• Certification in BCLS, ACLS, PALS is required.
• North Carolina Emergency Vehicle Driver certification or comparable is required.
• Current Class C driver's license is required.
• Current three (3) year driving history absent of violations is required.

Responsibilities

• Transport and care of patients during transport to tertiary care facilities.
• Provide convalescent transport to facilities or home.
• Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team to provide age-specific care in hospital settings when not transporting.
• Utilize skill sets approved by NC-OEMS and hospital policies.

Sampson Regional Medical Center is hiring a Paramedic to join the Ambulance Services Department!

Description:

The selected candidate will work as a member of the Emergency Department clinical team. Responsibilities include the transportation and care of patients during transport to tertiary care facilities, as well as convalescent transport to facilities or home. The paramedic will collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team to provide appropriate age specific care in compliance with standards of practice in the hospital setting, when not transporting patients. Skill set approved by NC-OEMS and hospital policies will be utilized.

Requirements:

• Completion of OEMS approved training & competency program for Paramedic and current North Carolina Paramedic Certification required.
• Six months experience in a pre-hospital environment as a Paramedic required.

Hours:

This is a full-time position. Hours for Ambulance Services are 10:00am - 8:00pm. Other hours may be required for the effective operation of the department.
