Job summary

Sampson Regional Medical Center is seeking an EMT to join the Ambulance Services Department. You will transport and care for patients during transport to tertiary care facilities and for convalescent transport to facilities or home.

The role requires OEMS-approved training and NC EMT certification, with at least six months of pre-hospital EMT experience and BLS certification. A Class C license and clean driving history are required.

Qualifications

• OEMS approved EMT training and NC EMT certification required.
• At least 6 months pre-hospital EMT experience.
• BLS certification required prior to transporting patients.
• NC Emergency Vehicle Driver certification or equivalent.
• Current Class C Driver's License with a 3-year driving history.

Responsibilities

• Transport and provide care to patients during transport to tertiary care facilities.
• Provide convalescent transport to other facilities or home.
• Assist under supervision of Paramedic, RN, and Physician to deliver age-specific care per standards of practice.

Job description

Sampson Regional Medical Center is hiring an EMT to join the Ambulance Services Department!

Description

This candidate will work as a member of the Emergency Department clinical team. Responsibilities include transportation and care of patients during transport to tertiary care facilities, as well as convalescent transport to facilities or home. The EMT performs care to patients under the supervision of the Paramedic, RN, and Physician to provide appropriate age specific care in compliance with standards of practice in the hospital when not transporting patients. Skill set approved by NC-OEMS, and hospital policies will be utilized.

Requirements Include

• Completion of OEMS approved Training and competency program for EMT and current North Carolina EMT Certification required.
• Six months experience in a pre-hospital environment as an EMT required.
• BLS certification before transporting patients on ambulance.
• North Carolina Emergency Vehicle Driver certification or comparable
• Current class C Driver's License
• Current three (3) year driving history absent of violations.

Hours

This is a full-time position working 10:00am - 8:00pm, 4 days per week. Weekend and holiday rotation required. May be required to work other hours for the effective operation of the department.
