DocGo's Ambulnz unit is hiring Paramedics for Capital District, NY and surrounding areas. The role offers full-time, part-time and per-diem options with a base pay range and shift differentials.

Expect varied schedules, emergency response duties, and strong emphasis on patient transport and care in diverse settings. Qualified candidates hold a NY Paramedic License with REMAC certification within 30 days, a valid driver’s license, and CPR/ACLS/PALS.

Qualifications

• New York State Paramedic License is required.
• Hudson Valley REMAC Certification must be obtained within 30 days of hire.
• Valid Driver's License (2+ years) and clean driving record.
• Valid Healthcare Provider BLS CPR Card.
• ACLS Certification and PALS Certification are required.
• Ability to lift, push and pull 125 lbs or more.
• Able to work well in a team and maintain professionalism.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with EMTs and management to ensure top-tier patient care.
• Shift schedule may vary due to 24-hour operations.
• Maintain up-to-date with standards of care, equipment, and all certifications.
• Provide courteous, professional interactions with patients and colleagues.
• Deliver medical transport to facilities and follow established policies.
• Keep rigs clean and stocked; manage patient billing information and signatures.
• Complete pre-hospital patient care reports and respond promptly to dispatch.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with your fellow EMTs and management to ensure top tier patient care.
• Be flexible as emergency services operate on a 24-hour clock - your work shift schedule may vary due to the nature of the business.
• Remain up to date with current standards of care, including equipment functions and uses and all certifications, licenses and registrations.
• Conduct yourself in a courteous, helpful, and professional manner when dealing with patients, co-workers, supervisors, and the public.
• Recognize and treat any medical condition with appropriate techniques, equipment, and knowledge of all State and County protocols.
• Provide top-tier medical transport to medical facilities by assuming responsibility for medical care of the patient and carrying out established policies and procedures.
• Maintain rig cleanliness by stocking the rigs and taking ownership of your space.
• Gather patient billing information and appropriate billing signatures.
• Prepare and submit a pre-hospital patient care report.
• Respond promptly to assignments as required by the Dispatch Center.
• Other tasks as assigned.

Requirements

• New York State Paramedic License
• Must obtain Hudson Valley REMAC Certification within 30 days of hire
• Valid Driver's License (for a minimum of 2 years) and an acceptable driving record
• Valid Healthcare Provider BLS CPR Card
• Valid ACLS Certification
• Valid PALS Certification
• Must be able to lift, push and pull 125 lbs. or more
• Successfully complete Physical Aptitude Test
• Tech-savvy or comfortable with technology
• Able to work on a team
• Respectful of colleagues, patients, and supervisor
