Job summary

DocGo is seeking an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) in Dover, Delaware to join our Ambulnz operations. This full-time role offers a hourly pay rate of $20.50-$22.00 based on experience and operates on a 12- or 10-hour shift schedule.

Responsibilities include delivering high-quality patient care, driving the ambulance, maintaining equipment, completing reports, and adhering to state protocols. We provide medical, dental, and vision coverage, PTO, and a 401(k).

Qualifications

• DE State EMT-Basic Certification is required.
• Valid Driver's License (minimum 2 years) required.
• Valid CPR Card for Health Care Provider.
• Delaware EVO driving position eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with EMTs and management to ensure top-tier patient care.
• Shift schedules may vary due to 24-hour operation.
• Stay up-to-date with current standards of care, equipment usage, and certifications.
• Provide courteous, professional patient interactions with co-workers and the public.
• Triage and treat medical conditions per state/county protocols.
• Transport patients to facilities and follow established procedures.
• Operate ambulances safely per state and regional laws.
• Maintain rig cleanliness and stock equipment.
• Collect patient billing information and signatures.
• Submit pre-hospital patient care reports.
• Respond promptly to dispatch requests.
• Demonstrate excellent verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with your fellow EMTs and management to assure top tier patient care.
• Be flexible as emergency services operate on a 24-hour clock - your work shift schedule may vary due to the nature of the business.
• Remain up to date with current standards of care, including equipment functions and uses and all certifications, licenses and registrations.
• Conduct yourself in a courteous, helpful, and professional manner when dealing with patients, co-workers, supervisors, and the public.
• Recognize and treat any medical condition with appropriate techniques, equipment, and knowledge of all State and County protocols.
• Provide top tier medical transport to medical facilities by assuming responsibilities for medical care of the patient and carrying out established policies and procedures.
• Operate and drive the ambulance in accordance with safety policies and laws, showing due regard for all applicable State and Regional Regulations (DMV & DOH)
• Maintain rig cleanliness by stocking the rigs and taking ownership of your space.
• Gather patient billing information and appropriate billing signatures.
• Prepare and submit a pre-hospital patient care report.
• Respond promptly to assignments as required by the Dispatch Center.
• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Perform other duties as required/assigned.

Qualifications

• DE State EMT-Basic Certification (required)
• Valid Driver's License and acceptable driving record (must have had driver's license for a minimum of 2 years)
• Valid CPR Card for the Health Care Provider
• Delaware Emergency Vehicle Operator (EVO) for driving positions
• Must be able to lift, push and pull 125 lbs. or more
• Successfully complete Physical Aptitude Test
