High School (or GED equivalent) diploma.
Certification or licensure as an EMT-Paramedic by the Texas Department of State Health Services.
American Heart Association Healthcare Provider completion.
Valid minimum Class C Texas Driver's License with restriction “A” permissible.
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) completion within 80 days of employment.
Pre-Hospital Trauma Life Support (PHTLS) completion within 80 days of employment.
Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) or Pediatric Education for Prehospital Professionals (PEPP) completion within 80 days of employment.
Completion of the following Department of Homeland Security, Federal Emergency Management Agency National Incident Management System (NIMS) courses: IS-100, IS-200, IS-700, IS-800.A is required within 80 days of employment.
Field experience.
National Registry.
Advanced Medical Life Support (AMLS) completion.
Neonatal Resuscitation Provider (NRP) completion.
Critical Care Emergency Medical Transport Program (CCEMTP) completion.
