Josephson Dunlap, LLP in Houston seeks an experienced paralegal to support a wage-and-hour docket in a fast-paced litigation environment. The role is on-site in Houston, with overtime opportunities and a Monday–Friday schedule.

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of progressive paralegal experience, strong organizational skills, and proficiency in the MS Office suite. You will work closely with attorneys on discovery, motions, hearings, and trials to advance complex wage-and-hour cases.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of progressive paralegal experience in a law firm litigation department.
• Wage-and-hour experience is not required.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook 365).
• Strong organizational and time-management abilities; collaborative, team-oriented approach.

Responsabilités

• Work under the direction of assigned attorneys handling wage-and-hour docket.
• Manage multiple cases in federal/state court and arbitration (AAA/JAMS).
• Assist with discovery, motions, hearings, mediations, trials, and arbitrations.
• Review and calendar electronic filings per Federal/Local Rules and judge-specific requirements.
• Prepare legal documents including pleadings, discovery, motions, and settlement docs.
• Compile deposition and trial notebooks and client materials.
• Organize attorney and legal assistant workloads to support team objectives.
