Job summary
Jobot, a national law firm serving the nonbank private lending industry, is seeking a paralegal/legal assistant for an onsite role in Marlboro Township, NJ. You will support attorneys with research, drafting, and document management to help advance corporate and litigation matters.
The ideal candidate has 1–2 years in a law firm, strong communication, and proficiency with MS Office. A Bachelor's degree is required, and an interest in AI tools is a plus.
Qualifications
- 1–2 years in a law firm or legal environment
- Familiar with legal research, drafting, and document review
- Experience supporting corporate matters or civil litigation preferred
- Strong written and verbal communication
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; document management systems a plus
- Interest in AI tools and legal tech preferred
- Bachelor's Degree required
Responsibilities
- Conduct legal research to support attorneys on corporate and litigation matters
- Assist in preparing internal memoranda, legal summaries, and reports
- Draft, review, and edit legal documents, contracts, pleadings, and discovery materials
- Perform redlining/blacklining and assist with document comparisons
- Review corporate entity documents and litigation-related filings for accuracy
- Assist with document organization, version control, and file management
- Support attorneys with case management, court filings, discovery, and deadlines
- Utilize legal technology and AI tools to support research and workflow
- Track deadlines and assist in managing multiple active matters
- Provide general support to the Managing Partner and senior staff
