About the Position

Looking to join a national defense firm that is progressive and innovative? We offer casual dress every day, a flexible work-from-home policy, and a diverse and inclusive environment with collaborative and supportive attorneys across all offices. We are seeking paralegals to support our national litigation practice. Although based in New Jersey, this position involves supporting cases nationwide as part of a paralegal pool. Ideal candidates will have 2-3 years of litigation and trial experience, be highly organized, and self-motivated. Responsibilities include case management, pre-trial preparation, medical record summarization, depositions, employment records, discovery work, and more.

This position requires coming into the office 3 days per week. Candidates must reside in the greater Berkeley Heights area—no exceptions.

Requirements

Paralegal certificate required
Professional and pleasant demeanor
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Experience processing and following up on subpoenas for various records
Ability to communicate with experts and prepare materials for review
Timely and effective team communication
Ability to multitask, be proactive, and manage demands independently
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Outlook, Word, Excel, iManage, e-Copy, PDF conversion
Experience in trial preparation, exhibit assembly, witness materials, and pre-trial documents
Ability to review and organize document productions and redact sensitive information
Work 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Reliable with excellent attendance
